Day 4, we headed to Kyoto from Osaka. A lot of travelling to reach there, but it is all worth it.
Took subway train to Shin Osaka for Jr Kyoto Line.
Everyone is rushing to work.
Jr Kyoto Line, 45 minutes train to Kyoto.
Ah Hai daydreaming.
Yin Ling next.
And Vivian, dreaming for real! Her face is like she is fighting inside her dream LOL.
Close up on the train we took.
Train station at Kyoto.
Not reach yet.
Figuring how to get to the Kyoto Imperial Palace.
Don't be shy to ask for direction, thats how you travel at a new place.
Close call! If we reach 30seconds later, we would have to skip visiting this place. They are closing the gate when we reach! @.@
You need to register before you can visit this place.
Here we are, inside the Kyoto Imperial Palace. Our tour guide explaining about all the details and history of the palace.
Saw the gold up there? It is made of real gold.
Take note on the roof, consist of hundreds of layers. It took 20 years to made it, and its lifespan is just 25 years! That means 5 years after completion, need to redo the whole thing again.
This building have some Chinese influence, like the orange color used is sort of similar to the red used by the Chinese.
Where the Emperor stays.
Look at the white ground there, it is some sort of stones/sand which during the old time is used to reflect the light into the building. Smart, aren't they?
Ditching train that day, we travel by bus at Kyoto.
