Mount Fuji (富士山), is the highest mountain in Japan standing 33,776.24 m (12,389 ft) tall and located 100 kilometers (60 miles) south-west of Tokyo, and can even be seen from there on a clear day. It is one of Japan's "Three Holy Mountains" (三霊山) along with Mount Tate and Mount Haku. Visibility tends to be better during the colder seasons of the year than in summer, and in the early morning and late evening hours. The easiest way to view Mount Fuji is from the train on a trip along the Tokaido Line between Tokyo and Osaka.
