Alright, this year I don't really snap any picture using my DSLR. Had been busy serving for this year Christmas season and only have the time to walk around on Christmas day itself, with only my Samsung S3 with me.

This is the so called super tree, the gigantic avatar-ish tree which stands proudly in a ring of circle at the middle of the garden. All the super trees are linked together by the bridge, where you can pay to go up for a walk. A good place for a family bonding place, or for couples who would like to spend some time enjoying the mother nature while having a date.

Any idea where this is in Singapore? Stumble upon this underpass and was not in a rush, so I decided to stop by and take this shot since nobody is there in the frame to "decorate" the picture. I am actually quite surprised to find this underpass hidden in the middle of the expressway. (If I am not mistaken about the expressway part)

Arts Alive 3 #3

Alright, the last post on the last play for Arts Alive 3, 2012.

This last piece is called "Closed Quarters" played by the Upper Secondary Drama CCA girls. Written and directed by Dwayne whom he also involves in playing the master villian, this piece talks about the life of the teenage prisoners being held captive inside a maximum security prison cell named as Closed Quarters. It talks about the teenagers life inside Closed Quarters with their life before they ended up there with a lot of different flashbacks from different person. It shows what they went through in life and how they ended up there. At the end they managed to work their way out to freedom with the help of audience to create the resonance effect at the right frequency to break the glass wall around them (which apparently I was so engrossed with the play until I forgotten to snap that scene)

Arts Alive 3 #2

The second play was called "The Little One". This play talks about child soldier, inspired by the Invisible Children Documentation which I posted before that talks about Joseph Kony and what he has been doing to all the innocent children. All four of them are from Secondary 4 Drama Elective girls which insist to use this play as to spread the message about The Invisible Children.

It is a bit heavy or intense, emotionally draining and the girl really did a great job portraying those suffering (physical and mental abuse) that the innocent children gone through. Apart from that, this play was loaded with a lot of fighting, rolling and falling scene. Just imagine about how many falls they had to take during their rehearsal pains me. They did really well to make this play a success. 

Arts Alive 3 #1

Went to support my cell group member's event last weekend, an event organized by St. Anthony's Canossian Secondary School called Arts Alive 3. It was awesome time spent, with 4 mind blowing dramas.

East Coast Park, Singapore

As dull as it seems from the picture, that is what Singapore East Coast Park is to me. Went there for the first time with my work colleague and was kind of disappointed. A lot people been asking me, "Have you been to East Coast?", so I thought it is a place with pretty scenery (since it is at seaside with beach) that I have to go and have a look. All geared up to be greeted with this scene. Not much of scenery, so I turned to read the book I bought with me instead, but the weather sure ain't friendly with me on that day. =/

Oh well, perhaps I am at the wrong side of the coast.

Flamingoes you can see at Jurong Bird Park. Its worth a trip there with your family. I bet the kids would have a great time at there. Ticket pricing at here.

Lotus Lake @ Bishan Park

One of the few lakes you can find around Bishan Park, with this one full of lotus. I wonder when is the flower season (if there is any?) so that I can add some pink into this view. Tried my best to exclude the sky when this picture was taken as the sky was kind of overcast that day, maybe I should go back and get another shot when the sky is in good mood. Adding some white and blue in this picture should looks better.

Aha, this is the view of Bishan Park Condominium from Bishan Park, the place where I am staying now. Gotta go through the whole park to reach MRT everyday, great view and fresh air to start my day.

Island of Tourism

This is a view no stranger to people at Singapore, or to the tourists. Taken from Vivocity, showing where the island of tourism (or so I think) is. Having not been to that island (it is a small island linked by a simple bridge) before, if I am not mistaken, the orange building is Sentosa Ferry Terminal, while the buildings at the back is a part (or entrance of) Universal Studios, Singapore. Might save up to make a shooting trip to Universal Studios one day.

Botanical Garden, Singapore

There is this one day last week when I really had a bad day, really really bad day and I went to the mall after work and saw this particular scene when suddenly all the bad day thingy just replaced by the sudden sadness and sympathy.

Everyone is rushing around me, and then I saw this little boy, roughly the age of my little brother, a little bit chubby with spectacle, and standing at the side of the crowd finishing his chicken rice (those brown paper wrapped take away, not the polysterene box) on top of the trash bin! For the first time I had this kind of feeling, the sadness and sympathy on the little boy and wth the parents are doing? I do not know for what reason he is there standing and having his chicken rice on top of the trash bin, but it is definitely a scene sad to see.

If you are a parent, please be responsible for you children. If you are not a parent yet, please plan ahead for the sake of those little one who you will bring to life one day. They deserve a good and memorable childhood and family love!

That so much for being emotional, it is sad now even when recalling back on the scene to scribe those stuff on top.

The photo below was taken when I went for a walk at the Botanical Garden at Singapore. Not really as much of the stuff I had expected, but it is definitely a nice place for some family time and to relax yourself, if only the weather is good.
