The Old VS New

This picture shows both the alley for the old and new architecture. Taken at my hometown while I went for walk some time ago around the old town area, its quite a sad sight to see all the old houses being renovated to become the new one. Sooner or later the old town is just gonna evaporated bit by bit with time.

Back to this picture, just see how many stuff is missing between the two style, or should I say concrete? Thats why most of the time I would prefer those older architecture than the new architecture.

PS : I am not neglecting the blog, its just that I got no pictures worth posting here. Its been 2 years since the last time I went travelling :(

This is the view that I see during my primary school day, like at least 3 times a week I will be at here waiting for my mum/neighbor to fetch me from tuition. A big portion of my childhood is spent here, with all the Dragonball, Digimon, Pokemon, Yo-yo and etc with my mates and it was awesome time we had! Time flies indeed and looking back its been more than a decade. Gosh I am old now =/

Welcome to Batu Pahat

This is the first view that you will see of my humble hometown if you are coming from the south. It is the same view that greeted me every time I am back home as well!

The big mall on the right is the biggest mall of the town, Batu Pahat Mall and the land that it sits on now is the place where I had spent a portion of my childhood. Its just sad that I am not able to get a camera back then for all the old buildings and memories before they are demolished. Things were so expensive back then not to say DSLR? I was like still in secondary school when they are demolished. :(

Development is good, but at the same time it kills all that is considered as priceless to the people.

PS : Added this video when I stumble it just now! How nostalgic and glad that I am in that generation of time!

Segenting, Batu Pahat #3

Another sunset picture taken at my hometown. Segenting, the only "beach" here is actually the fisherman village at my hometown. So here is where it is famous with seafood. So you know where you should go for seafood if happen to visit Batu Pahat.

Green Therapy

I enjoyed being surrounded by the greens very much. It is kind of a relaxation method for me to cope with my hectic life. It is just peaceful, with the sound of the forest and nothing else. Well, thats what I feel.

So occasionally, I will make trips to places like this all by myself for some alone time. Sometimes I go with my camera, sometimes I just go alone without it. Sunshine is nice but they seems to be hiding somewhere when I am with my camera this time. :(

This post was suppose to be up some weeks ago, but a lot stuff has been happening so did not really have the chance to work on it. Gathering with my mates just before they went back to their respective University after their long semester break.

Batu Pahat Boy

If you are a Malaysian, you would probably know about the high profile debate between the two key Chinese politician in the country that is going to happen tomorrow! Better yet, if you are from Batu Pahat I bet you must be all hyped up about this topic! Why? Its because the two key politician are from Batu Pahat! The Star called it "Battle of Batu Pahat boys" on today paper.

Just read from paper and get to know that they kinda spend their 11 years (or 13 years if they are taking Form 6) of primary and secondary school life at the place same as I am.

Hutan Lipur, Batu Pahat

This is one of the few limited place which can give you a peace of mind that you can still find in the town where I grew up. Thanks to the urbanization of the town which is growing at quite a quick pace, more and more woods are fallen to be replace by concrete instead. Sad case indeed!

Apart from that, clubs are mushrooming at the core of the town as well. I wonder WTH and when are the authorities going do something about this matter so that I/we can have back the once peaceful little town where I grew up? Seriously, I do not mind it being a small town as long as it is peaceful.

Anyway, if you had been to Hutan Lipur now, you will be surprised at how badly shaped this once beautiful forest is today. So I decided to gear up myself and snap what it is left before it is completely gone.

Segenting, Batu Pahat

This is a sunset shot taken too early for sunset! But anyway it appear to be looking good so I just post it up here anyway. This is taken at the fisherman village of my humble hometown, few kilometers hilly ride out of town to reach here. Segenting is what they called it here, with a number of seafood restaurant and a popular temple resides at the seaside.

HSBP Main Hall

The main hall of High School Batu Pahat, notorious for its ghost encounter and midnight piano sound. I bet if you are a student there you will know what I am talking about. Having went to the top level and underground level of the main hall, I would say that at some point there the surrounding sure made my hair to stand.

The Lost Temple

One of the many temple at my hometown. This one with some happening history that lead to its current "cold" state. Kinda swallowed by all the development around the temple area.

Twin Tower Mosque

This is the biggest mosque at my hometown, so big that I could not fit it into one frame without some lamp post obstructing the view (this is the best I can go). Don't really know what the name is, so I would just call it Twin Tower Mosque thank to the two tall tower of the mosque.

Addon : The name is Masjid Jamek Sultan Ismail, thanks to Syafiq =D

PS : There written as "Klinik Waqaf An-Nur" in the sign board at lower right bottom corner but have no idea if that is the name or not since Klinik does not sound like a mosque name to me. Anybody can help rectify?
